George Pappas
George F. Pappas is a highly respected Senior Counsel at Covington & Burling LLP, a prestigious law firm in Washington, D.C. Mr. Pappas's notable cases include Omeros Corporation v. Par Sterile Products, LLC, et al., The Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania v. Eli Lilly and Company et al., Merck & Co., Inc. et al. v. Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Ltd. et al., and AstraZeneca LP v. Mylan Pharmaceuticals, Inc., among others.
Recognized for his exceptional skills and contributions to the legal field, Mr. Pappas is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, an esteemed organization that represents the best trial attorneys in America. He served as the Chairman of its Complex Litigation Committee from 2009 to 2011. Mr. Pappas is also the Chairman of the Editorial Committee and one of the co-authors of the book "Anatomy of a Patent Case," which was prepared by the Complex Litigation Committee of the American College of Trial Lawyers and published in conjunction with the Federal Judicial Center. The book has been distributed to all federal judges. Additionally, Mr. Pappas has presented programs on patent law issues at numerous Federal Judicial Center National Workshops, and he contributed as an author to the Patent Case Management Judicial Guide. He served as a member of the District Judge Education Advisory Committee for the Federal Judicial Center from 2001 to 2007, appointed by Chief Justice Rehnquist of the U.S. Supreme Court.
