Gerald Edenfield

Gerald M. Edenfield is a highly accomplished and respected litigation attorney, known for his dedication to the legal profession and his commitment to helping others. He is the managing partner of Edenfield, Cox & Bruce, a prominent law firm based in Brooklet, Georgia. Born and raised on a tobacco farm in rural Stilson, Georgia, Mr. Edenfield learned the values of hard work and compassion from an early age. He translated these values into a successful law practice that spans nearly four decades. Mr. Edenfield earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Georgia in 1967. In 1970, he obtained his Juris Doctor from Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law.

Mr. Edenfield's legal career began in Atlanta, where he practiced law for nine years, gaining valuable experience alongside seasoned trial lawyers. He later returned to Statesboro, Georgia, and became a partner in several law firms before founding his current law firm, Edenfield, Cox, Bruce & Edenfield, in 1988.

Throughout his career, Mr. Edenfield has represented clients in various cases both as plaintiffs and defendants. His practice areas include personal injury, business litigation, education law, insurance law, and estate law. He is admitted to practice in Georgia and represents clients before various courts, including the U.S. District Court and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the American Bar Association. Mr. Edenfield has also been actively involved in community organizations, serving as President of the Statesboro Bulloch County Chamber of Commerce and the Statesboro Rotary Club. He is a Paul Harris Fellow and a Will Watt Fellow and maintains affiliations with various charitable and community organizations.
